You took my light
my burning flame
ripped it from my soul
leaving my heart beating
but no longer breathing.
You took my light
of my dancing soul
leaving it beating
but no longer needing.
you took my light
my flame, my warmth
leaving me cold
a dimness in the night.
You took my light
my nature, my will
tearing me to pieces
leaving a life still standing
but no longer wanting.
You took my light
my every desire, my innocence
leaving a shell
a person no longer.

Fallen
Fallen
laying in the mud
in blood
sent up from
this feeble earth.
Ripped; torn
dirty and scorned
I weep
here in the mud
in my blood
to reap
the agony
of my sanity.

The Beauty In Me
This is a poem that I have been working on. Let me know your thoughts
Stand still
Watch the shadows appear
Blasting through
These continuing tears.
Have you stood
long enough
in my darkness
Have you seen enough
to hold my light?
Stand with me
to fight the shadows
fight with me
and I'll never forsake you
Blindly see
through my tears
and you will find
the Beauty in me.
Stand still
Watch the shadows appear
Blasting through
These continuing tears.
Have you stood
long enough
in my darkness
Have you seen enough
to hold my light?
Stand with me
to fight the shadows
fight with me
and I'll never forsake you
Blindly see
through my tears
and you will find
the Beauty in me.

Pages to Burn
PLEASE MOVE TO THE NEXT PAGE AS THIS LINK IS BEING CHANGED AND/OR REMOVED.
I revised this poem in haste as I didn't leave the original poem to be compared to the new revision. Also now that I re-read this version I do not believe it fits. I am not sure what I was thinking I believe this was to be a new poem that I thought was part of pages to burn. However, this does not work for Pages To Burn as it is a poem all on it's own. Yes, I never felt like it was completed but not to the point of of changing the entire poem. I do beg you to move to the next poem until I can put the original back up. Also for any revision the original will remain on this blog unless otherwise stated.
Thank you for visiting my blog and for the interest in this poem or if it was a favorite. I apologize for the haste in my thoughts and fingers.
I DO REALIZE IT HAS BEEN ALMOST 3 YEARS SINCE MY HASTE OF REVISION BUT PLEASE BARE WITH ME FOR THE NEW CONSTRUCTION OF THIS SITE AND THE CHANGES NEEDING TO BE MADE. THANK YOU!
You are a lesson
I must learn
written on the pages
of a book
that must burn,
standing still
you unveil me;
stripped and naked
you wash away the dirt
bringing me back to earth.
In the night
you silence my cry
holding me, whispering;
in the day
you beckon for me
to follow, to come
pushing me in the water
I no longer feel numb.
You are a lesson
I must learn
written on the pages
of a book
that must burn,
laying down
you spread the ashes
cleansing me
from my curse
as you bring me
back to earth.

An Awakening Raging Storm
I pray for a storm
to rage outside
and for that storm
to take me away from here.
I cry
as the clouds darken the sky
needing to feel
the cold drops
soak into me
to overflow inside
so I
can not bleed.
The black tears
fall from my eyes
blinding me
from the stormy skies
tearing me up inside
As I fall
As I fall,
and here I am
Screaming for sanity
Screaming for purity
with black tears
covering me
black tears taking
my soul to feed
into an awakening
raging storm.

A Castle and A Queen
You are not a castle
and I am no queen.
I have placed my heart
upon a dream
a dream that no longer lives.
You are not a knight
Not my savior
not my right,
only a dream
A far away dream
of a castle and a queen.
You are not a prince
Nor I a fallen maiden,
hushed by a kiss
upon a fallen raven
to be a dream
A far away dream
of a castle and a queen.
You are not a castle
and I am no queen.
I have placed my heart
upon a dream,
A dream of you
That no longer lives.
and I am no queen.
I have placed my heart

A dream of you

Untitled
This is still a work in progress. All feed back is appreciated.
She is standing
by a broken tree
looking at her
broken wings
on the ground
her heart breaking
the world raging.
Her cry
disrupted the sky
wings broken
unable to fly.
